What we do?
Baikalpic Shikshya tatha Bikas Prastisthan (BSBP)/Alternative Education and Development Foundation is a non-profit distributing organization based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Established as a research and an educational institute, BSBP works to explore and create educational alternatives to conventional forms of education. It is through these educational alternatives, BSBP aims at achieving goal of enhancing and ensuring “Quality Education” in Nepal. Besides, national and international vision, viz., “Education for Sustainable Development” underpins all BSBP’s major activities. Thus, BSBP is incessantly working in all those areas that contribute towards the realization of global and national agenda of “sustainable development through education”. BSBP also aims at enhancing capacity building of both old and a new generation of educators and researchers through training and facilitation programs. It encourages cooperative and collaborative learning through series of discussion and seminars at local, national and international levels.
